Construction of 70,000-seater Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) King Dome is ongoing. Progress can be noticed in these photos below taken years apart. To recall, this project will cost ₱6.025 billion, and will house a condominium hotel, a hotel and museum, a hangar, a water park, a hotel and commercial center, and an administration complex.
Here's a closer shot of the said project. It can be noticed that the photo was taken from an airplane window. The King Dome project sits near the Davao airport.
To be built within the ministry’s 26-hectare property at Brgy. Sasa, Buhangin District, Kingdome is “envisioned to be the first of its kind multi-purpose dome arena complex in the whole of Mindanao.” Shown below is the render of the said project.
It is planned for completion in 2025.
“It is well-suited for a world class integrated tourism complex. The project is also aligned with the National Tourism Development Plan, under its destination framework, which recommends the establishment of an integrated resort for leisure and entertainment within the environs of international airports,” company president Nelida L. Lizada said as stated in a news article published by Mindanao Times.
