As of recently, there is only one highway connecting Iligan and Cagayan de Oro cities

Preparation for Davao-Digos Expressway, a 60-km. toll road is now underway as mentioned in a Department of Public Works and Highway report.

Accordingly, it will start at the Bukidnon-Davao National Highway in Davao City and will terminate at Digos-Sultan Kudarat Road.

According to DPWH, it aims to “to provide an alternative route between Digos City and Davao City since the lone primary road connecting the two cities will be prone to traffic congestion in the coming years.”

The project cost is yet to be determined according to the said agency, but it is already enlisted under the Private-Public Partnership Program.
