The proposed international airport and seaport in Cotabato City are nearing materialization after series of deliberation by the Regional Development Council had ended in the projects' approval. The projects are now endorsed to the National Economic and Development Authority.

The said projects will be implemented through public-private partnership with the China-based company, Shezen Construction.

The international seaport will be constructed at the foot of Timaco Hill and the state-of-the-art airport will be built in Barangays Tamontaka 2 and 3.

The proposed projects underwent scrupulous feasibility studies by the Technical Working Group of the LGU and consultants.

A memorandum of understanding between the city government, led by City Mayor Atty. Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi, and the Chinese Engineering Construction Company has been signed.
