One of the key roads in downtown Koronadal, the Cotabato-Marbel road along Alunan Avenue, will be upgraded into a six-lane road, adding two more lanes to the present four lanes. This project is expected to cut travel time, especially during rush hours.

The P43 million road widening project, which involves the construction of a 1.5 meter sidewalk with a curb and gutter, is expected to be completed on March 2020.
