360 days has been given to complete the site development
NORTHERN MINDANAO
Groundwork is about go green light for Bukidnon Airport as Notice to Proceed has been served to Unimasters Conglomeration Incorporated, the contractor for site development for the said project.
Here's a copy of Notice To Proceed letter signed by Manuel Tamayo, Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports.
The proposed Bukidnon Airport will be located in Maray-Maray, Don Carlos, Bukidnon and it will have a 2.65-kilometer runway, capable of accommodating turbo propeller aircraft operations.
Set to be completed o 2022, the airport will be serving the entire province of Bukidnon and the nearby provinces of North-Central Mindanao such as North Cotabato, Davao del Norte, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur and even Davao del Sur, as posted by Department of Transportation in their Facebook page post.
The actual blue print of the airport project had been posted by Mindanao Economic Boom last August 2017.
On November 8, 2018, invitation to bid had been released for the said project. By January 2019, Notice of Award has been given to Unimasters Conglomeration Incorporated. Contract had been signed between the government and the private contractor on May 14, 2019. Screenshot below is an excerpt of the said document pertaining to the contract signed.
Unimasters Conglomeration Incorporated is categorized as class "AAA" by the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB). The company was participating in international bidding against foreign contractors. Most of its construction contracts were jointly financed by the Philippine Government and foreign lending institutions such as ADB, IBRD and OECF (later changed to JBIC).
Unimasters Conglomeration Incorporated has been given 360 days to complete the site development.
