Robinsons Galleria is said to be the premier brand among the malls in Robinsons portfolio.

It can be recalled that there were several unconfirmed information regarding Robinsons’ first Galleria mall in Mindanao. Sources from Cagayan de Oro and Davao cities both confirm that the company had purchased properties for a Galleria mall in their respective cities.

Robinsons’ business dealings in Zamboanga City also prompted speculations that the company will put up a Galleria mall.

Officials of the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative (ZAMCELCO) are said to be in serious talks with Robinson’s Corporation, a major retail establishment, for the construction of a mall at the Zamcelco site in Putik.

However, according to the information shared by the said local official, a team from Robinsons visited their city, which he requested not to be disclosed yet, on February. He told MEB the team presented him a mall render which is for a Robinsons Galleria mall.

A MEB Editor contacted the local government official last February 12 after reading his comment on one of the posts of MEB. The local official immediately refused to feed more details to refrain from leaking the said project in the big city.

The local official requested that his name and the name of the city should remain unidentified until official press release will circulate.

The city’s name is censored in the above conversation as requested.

Mindanao Economic Boom is still trying to look for sources inside the said company to verify the information disclosed by the local government official.

Keep posted for more updates.
